japan 2011 lucky bag

As a tradition in the Land of the Rising Sun (as well as other parts of Asia), every New Year’s Day, the Japanese would line up to take part in an annual tradition of the Fukubukuro (福袋), where some merchants will sell sealed bags of mystery gifts and goodies, at a discount price. Apple Store in Japan follow in this tradition, and it’s been reported that eager Apple fans had lined up 2 days before the day they even go on sale to have a chance to purchase these limited edition Lucky Bags. Apple Store’s across Japan have started celebrating since 2005, and last Saturday, many customers lined up outside to purchase these bags, which retailed for around $380USD. A couple customers have posted their winnings from these lucky bags.

I WISH I WAS JAPANESE EVERY NEW YEARS JUST FOR THIS BUNDLES :/ lol
